Tiler in Durham

Posted by Tiling News Dan on 7 April, 2008 in Wall Tiling |

This isn’t the usual ‘find a tiler’ listing. This is a personal recommendation for a certain tiler I know is leagues ahead of the rest in the game, and there are many options usually when looking for the right tiler for your project.

Dave Howe Tiling; Tiler in Durham

Dave is an Administrator on TilersForums.co.uk which is the UK’s biggest and busiest tile forum.

Dave is known to only use the best products and tools, he’s known for his advice that can knock the socks of many of the technical advisors in the tile industry in the UK. He has connections within other trades to help bring you the whole project and each are elite in their field, as apposed to a brilliant tiler tackling other trades themselves though not carrying the same quality and skill in each of them.

As a result of Dave’s known skills and abilities he’s obviously one of the most busiest tilers’ in Durham. So please inquire early to avoid disappointment.

You can get Dave’s details from Find Trusted Tradesmen in the Find a Tiler section listed under Tilers in Durham which houses many good tilers’ details in an easy to use listing format. Though if you’re lucky to live in the Durham and surrounding area’s then Dave has to be your first port of call in my opinion. He’s not actually expensive either, which is a false assumption most customers may have. Dave is competitively priced for his high standard. He can team up with suppliers to offer you discounts other tilers couldn’t ever offer. As he is a long standing good customer to his suppliers which work on a ‘the more you buy the more discount is offered’ type setup taking every year of spend into account.

I want to thank Dave once again for spending so many hours a night sharing his vast knowledge with so many other tilers who are all so grateful for him doing so. I bet if you mentioned Dave from Tilers Forums to each of the tilers you had in to quote no matter where you are in the UK you’d find many would confirm knowing of him or reading his contributions. Dave is one of the few in his league and I’m happy to say there will be many more tiling to such a high standard as a result of his dedication as a volunteer!

“I`ve been using Tilers forum website since Dec 07. I only tile part time but i still want and believe in doing a first class job even though i have relatively little experience. When i`ve had questions Dave has always helped out, willing to share his obviously vast knowledge. How refreshing to find someone who wants to help, often having to repeat himself answering similar questions. As a customer looking for a REAL professional look no further. You WILL get the best possible service!

I went down the usual routes of advertising etc, went to do the quotes, all seemed ok but then NO COMEBACK to complete the work quoted.I just like so many others found DAVE on tileforums.co.uk, he showed me where i was going wrong & since he gave me some GOOD advice,my world has changed for the better, without DAVE the forum would not be where it is today, thats not saying the other mod’s dont help out,its just DAVE seems to be the 1st to answer the question b4 any of the more experienced tilers! Thanks for all your help DAVE!

    Hi all,
just wanted to say that Dave was a great help to me when I’ve just started. With his advice I managed to do my first job spot on first time. It is surprising how many little trade secrets there are and most of all how big impact they make on the job. Dave knows them all. Keep up the good work on the forum Dave (tilersforums.co.uk)

    Cheers

I started out as a self-employed tiler last year. The advice and information freely available from Dave via Tilersforums.co.uk has without doubt been instrumental in my business’s success this past 12 months. The man is a living, breathing encyclopedia of all things tiling! What he doesn’t know is not worth knowing.

(I’d buy him a pint or five if I lived up there!!)

    Thanks Dave.

On some tradesmen forums, some older time served tradesmen look down their noses at ‘newbies’, people like myself who needed a career change or just need a bit of advice now and again. But not Dave, no matter how simple the question Dave is there! Not only with an answer but with encourage ment for the inexperienced.
    Cheers Dave mate

I entered the world or ceramic tiling just a year a go. Having subscribed to the forum since that time I can only say good things about Dave.

His knowledge of all aspects of ceramic tiling and associated works to the trade is, as far as I am concerned second to none. He is willing to give up his knowledge and time to the benefit of the industry not just the individuals and for sure, I would not still be in business as a professional tiler without absorbing the information freely given by him. To cap it all, he is also a nice guy!

    Nice to know you Dave.

Since I entered the tilers forum I met Dave in the chat as well as in the forum. As Germany´s northest tile adhesive manufacturer it was my intention to compare german tile related technics, standards and problems with those in the UK. Dave explained them well, he gave me a help with national rules, british standards and unknown technical words, therefore my thanks to Dave for the time explaining to me. Best Regards, Martin.
